Some key points that need to be kept in mind during your appraisals or reviews: |
|
• |
Be objective. Do not try to mask your failures or non achievements. By being objective you actually gain a 360 degree perspective of your capabilities |
|
• |
Start early. Do not wait to prepare for the review closer to the review date. The right time to start preparation for your review is as soon as your review is done. Yes! The best way to get a good review is to be conscious of the review phase that is round the corner and work hard towards achieving your goals. You cant do it overnight.

Keep records. Most often employees don’t record all their achievements as they don’t keep a track of their work flow. Way forward. Identify your challenges. Make a mental note on the areas of improvement. Work with your reviewer to draw up meaningful plans and targets for the next season. |
